“Stunned”

Reflections, refractions, and rays produce a stunning display upon the sides and corner of this building. Catching multiple buildings reflecting their light brings astounding colors to the image; the reflections in parellel with the building produce a  greater perceived depth of field. 

“Orographic Portrait [Horiztonal]”

Orographic Portrait [Horizontal] is a stunning piece that captures an environmental phenomena  that creates distinct psychological imagery.
Taken on the western Side of El Paso, Texas, this is a photo of the orographic effect; a change in atmospheric conditions due to mountain ranges or other elevation changes. 

“W.O.R. [Oculus]”

Standing as a flagship of Surrealism, ‘Waves of Remembrance’ is an out of perspective image of the Oculus building in New York City that represents the weight of the darkness in life and the light that grows from it. A stunning architectural piece that pays respect to a serious and resilient time in America’s modern history.  

“Buildings I.”

The quintessential piece of Allinson Fine Art is ‘Buildings I.’ A raw image that creates questions of perception made to challenge how we analyze our environment. 
Each building stands on a separate street corner at perpendicular ends. At one point only, do they all line up with each other in which they become seamless. The seamless vantage point throws off your initial sense of perspective and you’re left wondering where these structures stand in 3 dimensional space. When staring at the center point of the image you can change how you see the image by choosing to see the corner of the image angled inwards or then angled outwards.

The blue sky represents our neural cortex. Almost infinite possibilities of connections, interactions, and it in itself is the host of our physical being. 
The background building of vertical patterns, acts as the correlation of the id and the ego. A largely subconscious part of our mind that balances our innate desires with a matured adapted behavior. 
The forefront vertical building plays a completely different role as the superego, in which it is also largely subconscious, but acts as our moral high ground. It lays in our subconscious dictating right from wrong, and acts as a guiding force between the id, the ego, and our conscious mind and outward acts. 
The perpendicular interception of the Superego building and the Ego/Id building illustrated our conscious mind between the layers of our persona. 

“Patterns of Urbanization”

Gatherings turn into villages. Villages start to develop into neighborhoods of the village, which has now become a town. Eventually, the town evolves into a city and more people are wanting to be apart of this aspect of society. The city stops building out and starts to build up. Lives living on top of other lives, creating towers and blocks of a thousand perceptions, hopes, dreams, and fears. Everyone of them different but ultimately trying to find the same thing in their own life. 
The physical location of this photograph is on the west side of Manhattan, New York, on the edge of the Hudson River. New York was a place where I really contemplated what it means to be physically apart of a society, to come together and live in such close proximity, bringing an immensely diverse unity to each neighborhood. Scores of people and businesses supporting each other, in a plethora of different connected areas and neighborhoods. An effortless blend of life and getting on with what you need to. There is a huge sense of an on going drive for society while stacking their lives on top of each other. 
This photograph is a visual representation of the concept of these neighborhoods and areas of people ‘stacked’, living life together ‘differently’ in space-time, but ultimately with the same higher goal. The strength of all beams, rivets, and welds is needed to hold together the structure it supports, just as people, businesses, and life is needed to hold together the structure it supports, society. 

“Half Moon’s Sun”

The Sun’s set upon Half Moon Dome shifts everyday throughout the year. Shaping different colors, moods, and personalities every evening for this natural wonder. In “Half Moon’s Sun”, a low and even Sun meets the sheer face of the dome with radiant grace. The range of mountains dropping back is met with the refraction from the ray’s in the atmosphere give a real sense of depth when taking in the view and gazing down the image.
Allowing the light to pour into the lens for an extended period of time captures all the details of the shadowed valley, while a very tight aperture keeps all of the light in check. Using a long exposure also adds more richness to the tones and a natural softness to the lines within the image. This makes Half Moon Dome really stand out from the rest of its environment, while the tight aperture keeps the depths of the photograph in focus. Altogether, the combination of capturing light over an extended period of time and a small opening to allow the light in has given the entire image the feel of a painting.

“Central Towers”

During a cool, autumn morning in Central Park, these two towers watch over a peaceful setting of locals and tourists alike, enjoying the simple beauty of nature, within the busiest city in the world.
The coloured trees present a stunning divide of reflection that can only be captured with such early-morning stillness. The light to dark gradient created through the image and reflection insights the same sense of an early morning sunrise over a shadowed land. The water grasses frame the reflected towers delicately to remind us of the setting and location of the pond, but roughly to show that nature isn’t completely perfect. If anything, the image shows us that the beauty of nature is perfect, and even when we build the most amazing architecture, what makes it so beautiful is the earth around it: the sky, the trees, the water.

Enduring, peaceful, and beautiful, Highland Cows are some of the most revered animals on the planet. Known for their characteristic color, coat, and character, these creatures are some of the best that earth has to offer. The textured, orange coat contrasts perfectly to the smooth, desaturated blue of a distant storm brewing. The tones of the ground and horizon create the perfect base to balance out the lightness of the open sky background. Her orange coat is the perfect balance between the background tones of nature, as she stands strong, ready for the storms to come.  

New Growth 

There’s something very distinct about the warmth of the evening glow in the midst of summer. 
Rains may come and go, but the sun will always shine through, and together they bring new life. 
The beauty of the distinct sides of the image create a balance found in all walks of life and environments., the dark passing storms over powered by the lowering sun, solidifies the necessity to shine positivity through all reflections. 
The natural growth balanced with the cultivated field emphasizes that while we have a purpose to act accordingly, there is substance and beauty in going with what may come in life and flourishing through that.

“Bath in Blue”

A town in southern United Kingdom is known for 2 things: its architecture – and its water.
‘Bath in Blue’ opens your senses to the serenity that’s been celebrated for millennia.
A spa and a city established in 60 AD when the romans built a temple & springs in the valley of the River Avon. Although they built a bath house within the temple, hot springs were known before then. The river cuts its way through creating a picturesque scene as the architecture makes its way up the hill and the gradient of the blue sky meets at the top of the hill for a subtle and full depth to the background. 

“Central Park Side Street”

The Voyager Collection displays the perfect window down a winding side street among Central Park. The flowing lines and complimentary color palette let your mind wander down the street and feel the breeze among the trees.
The sight without cars would be such a delight, but to get rid of the trees would be a travesty. We chase a sense of business for a feeling of fulfillment, but neglect things in life that invigorate the senses and pull us into the present.

An infamous free standing cliff on the shore of Rio de Janeiro, Sugar Loaf is perfectly highlighted by the setting sun, and the blue reflecting from the Atlantic Ocean creates the most stunning backdrop to the Cliff’s portrait. 
A low lying band of the sun’s orange glow splits the blue sky and sea with reflections of red from the mountains in the distance. “Monochrome Dreamland” 

A sense of familiarity washes over you as you try to place where you’ve seen this before. A coastal blend of tranquil peace and eeriness give this image a strong impact when first seen. As you look at it longer, you start to empathize with the hard workers on the boat, you feel at peace with the sound of the ocean lapping, and you feel the cool, crisp ocean fog rolling in to bathe the coast line. All eeriness has left you as you now feel in the image, at the scene, and in the moment. A cornucopia of senses wash you into the present and your complete mindfulness is congruent with the now. “Monochrome Disposition”

Monochrome Disposition is a playful collage of the different shapes you find across a point of space. Within urban environments, the points in space tend to be very symmetrical, proportional, and inorganic, but it does wonders for geometric aestheticism.
During southern sweltering summers, the sun’s hard light creates shadows darker than the depths of night. On the other hand, certain spots shine so bright – you’d think you’re staring at the sun itself. This hard lighting emphasizes the rudimentary shapes meant to highlighted within the image. The strong sunlight allows for a deeply developed reflection within the building of another building, just a street behind. . The environmental conditions allow the piece to be created for what it is, a display of complimentary geometric shapes across a large scale of space.
